Myanmar air possibilities

My husband and I plan to come to Yangon in August, to stay for about 12 days. Looking at the airlines from Bangkok, it looks as if AirAsia is the cheapest and has daily flights. What is their track record, for reliability particularly? We fly back to the US on a Friday and are concerned we may be pushing it to arrive back in Bangkok on Thursday (but don%26#39;t want to lose a day in Myanmar by scheduling a Wednesday flight).

Bangkok Air does not fly on Tuesday and Thursday, which are the days we are looking at, and is more expensive. ThaiAir has twice daily flights but is much more expensive.

Also, in reading this forum it looks as if there are no flights to Bagan, at least for when we%26#39;re wanting to go. What are the alternatives? We%26#39;re just starting our planning so don%26#39;t have anything definite yet.

Thanks so much for your help.

Air Asia is cheapest and reliable too. However, you can not over weight for your baggage (20 kg)and they do not serve anything on board even water, you have to buy .

At present , Air Bagan and Yangon airways have daily morning flight and some days they have evening flight as well. Only Air Mandalay stop flying to Bagan on some day.

However , August is low tourist season and they may reduce the flight . You can fly to Mandalay and can go by road, about 5 hrs drive and another alternative is by boat if it is operated.
