Thank you for a wonderful experience. This was my first visit to Mandalay,
and I couldn’t have picked a nicer hotel to stay at. The hotel is small
and very well managed. Rooms are cozy and clean; my room was midsize and
okay for one or two person. Spacious bathrooms, hot water took a while,
but you are warned about this, so not a problem.
The restaurant is nice and bright and you can eat outside. If at night,
don%26#39;t forget the mosquito spray. I would highly recommend the Indian food,
and enjoyed watching the chef prepare my breakfast fresh each morning. My
only suggestion for the restaurant is that the coffee was cold, this
happens. But, the waiter did observe I wasn’t drinking and offered to
replace it.
I’m sorry I didn’t get to try the pool, as it looked so clean, and
welcoming - next visit. The trips I planned through the hotel were very
good. Driver was really nice and did his best to cover the highlights.
Although his English is limited, there wasn’t a problem communicating the
places I wanted to see or not see. Such as waiting for the sunset, when I
wasn’t feeling great.
I departed Mandalay via the riverboat and besides trying to locate the
appropriate dock, the driver stayed with me until my boat arrived, which I
thought was very kind considering you can’t exactly hail a cab there.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting local experience and
friendly staff. Wished I’d had more time to walk around the neighbourhood
a little.
Keep up the great work, I hope I can return very soon!
