a boutique hotel in Mandalay which is a match to your place in Yangon, Governor%26#39;s Residence. it%26#39;s all good but the location is stretching out, outskirt of Mandalay. if location is not an issue, go for it.

We stayed in the Rupar Mandalar Resort over Christmas in Dec 06 and had a fantastic experience. They served the most delicious traditional Christmas dinner and put on a troup of incredible traditional burmese dancers that made our Christmas! We were one of the first western guests to stay there and we got a very decent rate through a travel agent in Rangoon. We have not stayed in a nicer hotel in asia %26amp; would highly recommend it. The rooms are incredible, the service impecable, the pool the gym, the spa were excellent. And the hotel itself is a masterpiece built mostly in solid or carved teak. I%26#39;ve never seen anything like it. A real highlight of Myanmar!
