Chiang Mai-Mandalay-Ngwe Saung-Chiang Mai

Is it possible to fly Chiang Mai-Mandalay, spend a few days there, then fly Mandalay-Pathein and transfer to Ngwe Saung for beach break, then fly Pathein-Chiang Mai? Planning to go in Nov/Dec

Chiang Mai-Mandalay-Ngwe Saung-Chiang Mai

1. Chiang Mai- Mandalay is possible by Air Mandalay flight.

2. Mandalay-Pathein is not sure yet . You may have to come to Yangon first and then fly or by car to Ngwe Saung via Pathein.

3. Mandalay- Ngapali can be possible .

4. In Myanmar, direct flight to Chaing Mai is only from Mandalay at the moment.

Thank you so much for your reply it has been very useful. Do you have any information on booking tickets with Air Mandalay e.g contact email or can we easily book when we get to Chiang Mai. I have sent all Airlines in Myanmar emails but they do not respond have you any tips.

As far as I know,no flight to Pathein last year. In Myanmar, e-mail connection fail quiet frequently. So, send to all address together and please be patient and keep try. By the way, starting from tomorrow 11-4-08 , we will have our Myanmar new year , water festival and long holidays till at least 18-4-08. So, you may not get reply until then.

Have you seen the posting under the Laos forum about the bogus travel agency that has been banned from Laos and also has bogus sites for Air Mandalay and others?

Hope their bogus sites are closed down as well.

There are currently no flights leaving from Mandalay - Chiang Mai. You can fly Chiang Mai - Mandalay, flight leaves once a week on a Thursday. The only way you can exit Myanmar is by flight out of Yangon. Flights to Chiang Mai - Yangon are currently departing on a Thursday %26amp; Sunday. Seeing as you%26#39;re not leaving Until Nov/Dec, things might well change, so it will be better to check nearer the time. I can%26#39;t be a 100% sure whether there are flights from Mandalay - Pathein but there are certainly flights from Bagan - Pathein. A little side trip to Bagan maybe :-))
