I assume August happens not to be properly the right month to visit the country, but what should I expect in Yangon and Bagan?
Floods? Hard rainfalls concentrated towards the twilight or spread out all throughout the day? High humidity, muggy and damp unbearable?
Weather in August
Nobody can guess the weather in these warming days. Nothing is certain. But I like to figure out some points here from where I understand.
September is a rainy season in Myanmar from June to October.
The tropical monsoon is usually cloudy, rainy, hot, %26amp; humid.
However there will be options to do a visit though as we face geographically difference in the land. For example, it%26#39;s not the time to visit down the south where the long coastal line exists.
But it%26#39;s suggestible to visit central part of the country, famous one Bagan and Mandalay would be the best ideal when monsoon lessen heat of its tropical desert-like area.
Good thing about September, is that it will not be touristic such as it is in October to February. And hotels and air tickets are not as high as it is in the tourist peak season. And seeing things all in Green due to monsoon may have a different outlook of Burma.
In comparison between Yangon and Bagan, as a seaport Yangon has usual rains than Bagan. If your trip intends different location rather than Bagan, Yangon and Mandalay, you better skip a schedule to Burma.
Weather in August
August is the middle of raining season but most of the Spain and Italy visit in this time due to their holidays season. It is hard to predict but Bagan and Mandalay is not much rain. However , if it is rain in Mandalay , usually flood all over the place.
As I mention earlier, still lots of Spanish and Italy visit and not like everyday raining. If you have no spare time other than August , than you still can do it if you wish. The best time in Myanmar is November to February .
However, the arrival tourist is down, flight schedule also reduce. So, for flight ticket, you need to do in advance .
