Hello, anybody can tell me what%26#39;s a fair price for a ride downtown from the airport?

Last August the price was $7US for a very old car, so I would say it wouldn%26#39;t have gone up much. They are all old taxis and no aircon but it doesn%26#39;t take to long to get to the city centre.

There is a taxi stand is near where you exit customs, just tell them we you want to go and they will write out a slip with your destination. Just pay the driver. I was surprised at how well it was organised and no hassles from other drivers.

If you like keep bargain with taxi driver, we pay (4000~5000 kyats , 1 USD= 1130 kyats ) so, about USD 4.

If you get a taxi from inside the airport the cost will be a standard $7

Walk outside %26amp; get a taxi the cost will be $5
