mosegrisen

it appears to me that mosegrisen tends to think that this forum is purely for himself

never met the guy

but read lots of his replies

reprimanded me once for something i said in reply to a fellow travellers question

i dont mind being corrected if wrong

but i am becoming more of the opinion that mosegrisen ought to get off his';high horse'; as manners cost nothing and there are ways of talking {even in e mails%26gt; to people without coming across as ';mightier than thou';

his info is spot on but is tone/attitude leaver a lot to be desired

am i wrong and it is his job to ';police this site';

change your ';tone'; as your input is respected

mosegrisen

Leave you? Leave you?

How could I leave you?

How could I go it alone?

Could I wave the years away

With a quick goodbye?

How do you wipe tears away

When your eyes are dry?

Sweetheart, lover,

Could I recover,

Give up the joys I have known?

Not to fetch your pills again

Every day at five,

Not to give those dinners for ten

Elderly men

From the U.N.--

How could I survive?

Could I leave you

And your shelves of the World%26#39;s Best Books

And the evenings of martyred looks,

Cryptic sighs,

Sullen glares from those injured eyes?

Leave the quips with a sting, jokes with a sneer,

Passionless lovemaking once a year?

Leave the lies ill-concealed

And the wounds never healed

And the games not worth winning

And-wait, I%26#39;m just beginning!

What, leave you, leave you,

How could I leave you?

What would I do on my own?

Putting thoughts of you aside

In the south of France,

Would I think of suicide?

Darling, shall we dance?

Could I live through the pain

On a terrace in Spain?

Would it pass? It would pass.

Could I bury my rage

With a boy half your age

In the grass? Bet your a ss.

But I%26#39;ve done that already--or didn%26#39;t you know, love?

Tell me, how could I leave when I left long ago, love?

Could I leave you?

No, the point is, could you leave me?

Well, I guess you could leave me the house,

Leave me the flat,

Leave me the Braques and Chagalls and all that.

You could leave me the stocks for sentiment%26#39;s sake

And ninety percent of the money you make.

And the rugs

And the cooks--

Darling, you keep the drugs.

Angel, you keep the books,

Honey, I%26#39;ll take the grand,

Sugar you keep the spinet

And all of our friends and--

Just wait a goddam minute!

Oh, leave you? Leave you?

How could I leave you?

Sweetheart, I have to confess:

Could I leave you?

Yes.

Will I leave you?

Will I leave you?

Guess!

mosegrisen

this confirms that mosegrisen is in my opinion in need of a loving female or some strong anti depressents!!!!!!

or find solace in jesus

truey27: As I understand it, this is a travel forum, not a place for touting. If anyone starts advertising their own services they are subject to the forum rules and guidelines and I have no hesitation pointing this out to readers and moderators.

As for e-mailing. You and I have never had any e-mail exchange. If you post incorrect information as you have in the past and I correct you, don’t expect me to sit and ponder the smoothest way of doing so.

As for Jesus... I suggest you keep religious bigotry out of your comments.

If you have a problem with me personally or with what I write here, or find my wording inappropriate, you may find that the moderator is the one to complain to.

I intent to post when I wish and what I wish, while I enjoy doing so, or until I’m asked by moderators to change my tone or until I no longer enjoy spending time on this forum.

If any of the touts try to give me a hard time taking them to task, directly or through a second party, it shall only serve to sharpen my tongue.

Now ,now boys and girls..................

I am not going to take sides other than to observe that mos has done a good job ';policing'; the Myanmar forum which has been beset by ';guide recommendations'; and false reports from other than genuine travellers.

We recently had to get TA to remove a few a couple of crits on The Road to Mandalay from obviously disgruntled ex members of staff.

The Myanmar forum seems to suffer from this type of posting , as well as the ';I know a great guide'; post.

Anyway.........

If you want to continue your spat the correct way is through the ';send a message';in the profile header and you can then e each other to your hearts content.

If and when you have kissed and made up then let us know and PLEASE carry on normal posts because you will be sadly missed if you don%26#39;t.

Sincere best wishes - Burma needs you.

in reply to mosegrisen

first of all

i am not a tout!

i have never promoted any company on this website

i am a hardworking man of 55 with my own busimess

that likes to travel

my attitude to life is ';good manners and a smile costs nothing';

as i said in my initial post

';his info is spot on but his tone attitude leaves a lot to be desired';

i think his latest reply just confirms this.

i replied to his previous reply that he posted

which you should make an effort to read ,you might understand it but for me it was ';lost in translation';

as far as i am concerned this view that i have of mosegrisen remains. especially after the content of his last two posts to me

anyway life is too short to continue bickering and

i wish mosegrisen a happy and a properous new year and yes!!! i do look forward to his postings

regards to all

Hello ';oneleene';,

best wishes for your stay in Myanmar and looking forward to your ';insider tips';. Hope that you have better luck keeping your ';tone/attitude'; acceptable to all, than I%26#39;ve had:-)

Agree that the “Shwe Dagon” is one of the wonders of the world.. and IMHO Bagan is not too far behind.

Happy travels.

Hello, this is my first posting and just to say I am finding all the %26#39;inside information%26#39; really helpful. We are to visit Myanmar, having booked to stay at the Grand Plaza Parkroyal, in June and, as Burma is my mother%26#39;s home country (although she hasn%26#39;t been back there since 1945) I have harboured a longing to be there for most of my life. We have visited Thailand and Malaysia and feel a true affinity with the eastern part of the world. Thank you for all the tips!

PoshEngland - nice to see some newcomers to the forum , especially with an old family connection.

First thing on arrival is to buy a couple of longi%26#39;s and sandals - then be prepared to lift and tuck the longi to keep it out of the water that will welcome you to Burma in June!!

Look forward to your postings.
