6 days in Myanmar

Dear all,

Though there are many topic on itineray advise already however I still can not design the best built for my 6 days trip.

I planed to arrive in Rangoon 1st Sep and fly out by 6th.

My two main destination up to now is Rangoon ( ofcourse) and Mandalay.

Could any of you advise an itineray and normal budget for a day in Myanmar.

also is that possible to travel from Mandalay and back into Thailand via Chiang Rai.

1 st Sept , what time is your arrival ?On the 6 th what time is your departure ? Since you have a very few days, better fly and instead of by bus.

Another question is you just want a brief visit or want to go slow ?

Air Mandalay stop fly from Mandaly to Thailand.

Yangon Airways have daily flight to Bagan according to their schedule from 1 st August to 10 August . So most properly they will fly to Bagan daily on September too.

Anyway here is my suggesstion :-

1 Sept . Arrive Yangon.. Overnight Yangon.

2 Sept . Fly to Bagan . Visit Bagan and overnight Bagan.

3 Sept . Fly to Mandalay and visit Mingun and Sightseeing Mandalay. Overnight Mandaly.

4 Sept . Visit Amarapura, Sagaing, and Ava (Inwa)

5 Sept . Fly back to Yangon, visit Yangon

6 Sept . Fly back to Bangkok.

Or if you do not want to fly,

Day 1. Arrive Yangon. Overnight Yangon.

Day 2. Visit Yangon morning. Bus to Mandalay at evening and overnight on the Bus.

Day 3. Visit Mandalay .

Day 4. Visit Mandalay and late afternoon, back to Yangon by bus.Overnight on the Bus.

Day 5. Visist Yangon.

Day 6. Fly back to Bangkok.

Please note that bus are not so comfort and can be delay.

So , for your budget,

Budget Hotel including breakfast .. USD 15

2 star , aroung USD 25

Food ... USD 10 per day.

Taxi ... USD 40 per day

Airfare ... Yangon -Bagan around USD 80

Bagan- Mandalay around USD 40

Bus fare .. Yangon Mandalay . around USD 12

Airport tax .. USD 10 , only on departure to Bangkok.

and you need some entrance fees, zone fees from USD 2 to 10.
