Balloons over Bagan

Has anyone done this? Is it worthwhile? Is it safe? Is it ostentacious and in bad taste? Would appreciate some advice. Thanks!

Balloons over Bagan

Dear leloir,

I haven%26#39;t seen anyone reply yet and so that reason, I reply to your query. I haven%26#39;t been on board but I have seen a lot of tourists are very happy and every one of them said that ';It is their lifetime memory'; They will never forget this experience and scene. ';Very Beautiful';

For safety concern, as far as we know, the operator is very concern about safety.

I am very sure that you will enjoy it.

Balloons over Bagan

Carol Thatcher (daughter of Mrs T) said recently that one of the greatest experiences of her life was Balloons over Bagan .

We weren%26#39;t able to get on last year with over a month%26#39;s notice. It was a Christmas time and they were booked solid and had no cancellations when we were there.

This year will be different as there won%26#39;t be many tourists.

I heard it was a fantastci experience as they mentioned above.

Happy travles!

We did this in Dec04 and it was the highlight of our trip. If Bagan was anywhere else other than Myanmar then it would be in the top 10 of world attractions so imagine hot air ballooning over the temples! Whilst Ankor Wat has a stunning centre piece, the vastness of Bagan, the people, the travel experience are all superior in Bagan.

BoB used British pilots and a large local team. They have standby fares though you%26#39;ll need to book ahead for busy periods.

This is a magical experience not to be missed.

Dear leloir,

Have you return from Myanmar?? How is the experience ?? Did you manage to get on board , Balloon Over Bagan ?

It may be a little too late but I can talk about my experience with Balloons over Bagan.

It was amazing and unforgettable. There are not that many palces in this world where you can drift over thousands of temples.

We were there in 2005 and it felt totally safe. You get there very early and the morning light is at its best if you are lucky with the weather.

There are a few pictures that I took on my personal web site: web.mac.com/bcgraph/iWeb/Site/Myanmar.html

I am booked for November. I heard so much about it.

Once did an ultralight over Vic Falls Zimbabwe and have not forgotton that either

What a wonderful selection of pictures of Myanmar.

Anybody who has any doubts about visiting the country would be swayed by your great picture gallery - well done.

Silverswimmer,

thanks for your compliments.

went in december 07 and it was wonderful. it is owned by british pilots and the day we went there were only 2 balloons and next day only one. we got on with one day%26#39;s notice. good luck. well worth it!!
