Does anyone know whether malaria shots/medication or Hep A or B shots are highly/slightly recommended to travel through the Myanmar for 3-5 days, Lao for a couple of days and Thailand for approx. 2 weeks? This would be in December 08/Jan 09.

Malaria, Hep A/B is high in Myanmar, but don%26#39;t know about thailand and laos. But as you are only staying short visit it won%26#39;t be a problem at all.

Hi Golden Boy,
We%26#39;re entering just North of Chiang Rai (is it Tachilek?). Any mosquitos there in December/January? They love me if they%26#39;re anywhere in the area.

Prevation is better than curing. It is highly recommended.
HI SweetPeaLa,
Just read your messages and replies. I will strongly recommend vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B as well as ensuring you are vacinnated against Tetanus. I would also recommend vaccination against typhoid as well for your SEA trip. Judging from your messages about going north of Chiang Rai - YES it is a malarious area!!! get your malaria prophylaxis. I would guess this should apply to Laos as well.
Bon voyage,
Khayeethe
