Hi, I am trying to make plans for a trip to Burma(I have about 7 to 10 days) and so far this is what I have: Bangkok-Yangon-Bagan-Hsipaw-Kalaw-Inle Lake-Bangkok. My questions are this: Should I include Mandalay? Or will it be in the route anyway. I will fly to Bagan and then how do I get to Hsipaw? From Hsipaw to Kalaw? Also are there flights to Bangkok from Mandalay?
Finally I plan to get my visa in Bangkok. Does anyone see any problems with this?
Thanks for any info or suggestions that you may have.

Itinerary advice: how to get to northern towns and visa ques
From Bagan to Hsipaw,
You have to go by car or another way is Bagan to Mandalay airport by flight and go to Hsipaw by car. Bagan to Mandalay flight time is approximately 20 minutes . However, Mandalay airport to Mandalay town area take more than one hour. If it is your fist time to Myanamr , I suggessted to forget about Hsipaw. Better spend your time in Mandalay.
Again, Hsipaw to Kalaw, you have to come back near Mandalay and then go to Kalaw by car. So , it is not so convenience if you include your trip to Hsipaw. When you have planty of time and if you are already been others place, then Hispaw is wroth to go.
There is no flight from Mandalay to Bangkok. However, Air Mandalay may fly again to Chain Mai from Mandalay if situtation improve (tourist arrival).
My suggesstion is Bangkok-Yangon-Bagan-Mandalay-Heho ( airport for Kalaw and Inle Lake) -Yangon-Bangkok.
Wellcome from Myanmar.
