You cannot get visas on arrival. The military government never went ahead with that idea and have not bothered to remove the website. Be sure to have your visa in your passport before you board the plane to Yangon!

Taalaw, You are right and wrong. Wrong mean, yes, you can have your visa on arrival upon arrival if you are pre-arrange with your travel agent and you are staying where there is no embassy .

As far as I know, Myanmarvisa.com is real and kumarsps, I have seen quite numbers of people happy with myanmarvisa.com services if you go through in VTMail and this forum . Number of people write about this topic of Visa On Arrival.

You may not believe me since I am Myanmar and so, serch through in vtmail and this forum.

mgzaymin, The country where I reside (United Arab Emirates) doesnt have Myanmar Embassy. So - I guess I can take the benefits of on arrival visa.

My alternative would be to make a halt in Bangkok for 2 or more days to get the Visa and proceed further.

Yes, you can obtain visa in Bangkok as well if you do not wish to take their package.

i have a VOA form letter which I will use. I am on a package tour. However my travel clinic seems to think that no one is getting a visa. I think their inof is incorrect that it would be a more controlled isssuance now

Certianly with VOA there would be someone wathcing you anyway
